Met zijn volle, romige, iets zoete smaak valt Vlaskaas direct op binnen het kaasassortiment. Oorspronkelijk werd Vlaskaas gemaakt in bepaalde delen van Vlaanderen speciaal voor het slijtfeest (oogstfeest).
